Review: Jing
1/10. That’s the rating. It was an utter disappointment.
141 dollars, 47 each for 3 pax.
Worse, I was already aware of the reviews made on Google and I still went… Oh well.
The place is not nearby MRT but! A nearby stop with two buses (76 & 154 I think?) that comes from Eunos MRT.
But walking from Paya Lebar MRT in scorching heat makes it harder for me to eat a lot.
If you’re at a buffet, you wanna make sure you feed yourself well right? Well I was left unsatisfied.
The only good part is that you can have your own individual hotpot. I choose Tom-Yum, the non-spicy kind and to me, it’s like bearable spicy. If you ask for a refill, they would give you chicken broth which defeats the purpose of actually still being Tom-Yum soup. It’s gone wasted. I should have asked for hot water instead to reduce the spiciness.
In comparison to Seoul Garden, I rather dine in at Seoul Garden.
It has better lighting. I actually don’t care if I have astigmatism- I need THE LIGHT BRO-
More varieties... *sighs*
Plates & utensils. I do have a bit of weak arms so I hate to carry heavy plates.
Drinks. Is it just me or that I cannot find plain water at Jing? That is a mystery yet to be solved.
Pricing. I don’t really want to say about the pricing really… But I feel like I overpaid for too little options.
I can only give one star because of the hotpot. But that’s it literally. Nothing else has impressed me more than the hotpot.
Do I want to recommend this? Half yes and half no.
Yes because of hotpot, no because of everything I have explained.
